Use the electric-powered Makita 3-1/4-Inch Planer to smooth wood surfaces chamfer and bevel stock scribe counter tops and shape posts rails and stiles. This versatile lightweight planer has a powerful 7.5-Amp motor that puts out 16000 rpm so you can work with it comfortably on all heavy-load projects. The Makita 3-1/4-inch planer has a two-blade cutter head that offers a smooth fast planing swath of 3-1/4 inches at a maximum depth of 5/32-inch or 4 mm in a single pass. A front adjustment knob lets you set precise depths between 0 and 4 mm. The front sole plate has three variable-width chamfering grooves for rounding down edges. The Makita electric planer is easy to operate with a manual locking trigger accessible from both sides of the handle. A spring-loaded foot lowers the planer gently onto work surfaces. The chip ejection nozzle can be placed on either side of the housing for convenience.
