Designed by Alvar Aalto in 1936 for Karhula the vase was based on a woman’s dress and formed by the traditional manner of blowing glass into a wet wooden mold. The vase became known as the Savoy vase due to it being included in a project for the Savoy restaurant in Helsinki. It also was included in the Paris Exhibition that same year. 6.96x 6.8x 4.75h. Available in clear white salmon pink rain emerald or desert glass.
