It starts with 7-ply mahogany/maple shellsthe same hybrid wood mixture used for many of SJC’s signature drums. The maple brings the classic balanced tone heard on countless records while mahogany enhances the low end. The result is a combination of warmth and punch. They didn’t skimp on the hardware and styling either. The hardware on this shell pack has SJC’s notorious flat black finish including their signature shield lugs and an L-rod clamp to mount the rack tom on a cymbal stand stand sold separately. Finally the prominent badges show these are genuine SJC drums through and through. Hardware cymbals and matching snare sold separately.
