The Moog Etherwave Theremin builds on the success of previous Etherwave models Etherwave Standard and Etherwave Plus creating the most comprehensive theremin design to date. The Etherwave Theremin allows you to control and manipulate sound without touch. Using various hand movements you can create expressive performances using simple motion to control sound. The theremin itself was championed by Bob Moog with the creator first purchasing the instrument at 14. The Etherwave carries on Bob Moog’s legacy with this modernised and refined design. Equipped with a five-octave pitch range the Etherwave Theremin finds the perfect balance between analog playability and performance utilising premium-quality components and improved bass response in the lower frequency band. You can make changes to tonality and timbre using the front-panel controls including pitch range waveform and brightness controls. A new and improved cabinet design features beautiful hand-finished hardwood complete with two quick-release plated-brass antennas. The rear of the cabinet features a variety of connections including a pitch CV out volume CV out and gate CV out; allowing you to use the theremin with your modular gear. There is also a front-panel headphone jack 1/4-inch complete with its own dedicated volume control as well as a mute button. For the more seasoned user the Etherwave Theremin features a calibration access panel so you can customise your antenna’s response.
