This new design offers woodworkers and makers the first commercial dowel plate with 1/32 inch 0.031 inch increments between hole sizes to make the process easier than traditional plates with 1/8 inch or 1/16 inch holes. This is especially helpful in hardwoods. The holes are counterbored which means the hole bottom diameter is larger to reduce friction on the dowel as it passes through each hole.
