Nikka’s Coffey Malt Whiskey is a distilled malt whiskey with column still or Coffey used in the Miyagikyo distillery located on the island of Honshu Japan. This product has innovative features as this type of alembic is generally used for the production of wheat whiskey consequently making a very particular complex and tasty whiskey. It was recognized as “The Japanese Whiskey of the Yearby the 2018 Whiskey Bible guide by well-known writer and journalist Jim Murray. It is an intense amber colored whiskey. The nose expresses hints of cinnamon and cloves enriched with notes of lemon oak and dehydrated fruit. In the mouth it is pleasantly sweet rich and full-bodied slightly smoked.
