Firetoys is proud to present our very own aerial silks aerial fabric / tissus. Our silks are of a high quality professional standard and made from a durable ladder resistant fabric. The material’s non-slip textured finish provides more grip than other aerial silks but still retains a sheen under stage lights. These silks are also wider than many other aerial fabrics available. At 160cm wide they create a chunky grip and are fantastic for cocoon style choreography. The downwards stretch in these silks doesn’t need to be broken in and pulls out over 4-6 months but is fine for immediate use. As these silks have a relatively Low Stretch they are more suited for beginners easier to climb and may not be suitable for some advanced moves where more bounce is preferred. Choose a length of silk that is double the height of the area/rig you are using plus 2 metres. The most popular length is 16m and this is about the minimum needed to perform drops as it will give you roughly 7m of silk between the anchor and floor. These silks start at lengths of 5m. This is NOT long enough for normal silk use. Short silks can be used for strength training and aerial yoga but our yoga fabrics are more suitable for this. An aerial hook sold separately is required to hang this silk. Please use ONLY the aerial hook cloche or the rescue 8 to connect to the silk directly. The WLL of these silks when connected with the hook is 150kg and 75kg when used with the rescue 8. Fabric is 100% polyester.
