Each mailbox anchor 4×4 ground spike is made of metal with a black powder coat for maximum longevity. Fence posts should be set into the ground half the height of the post that is above ground. Each post anchor spike is 2 feet 0.6 m high and should be used for a post up to 4 feet 1.2 m tall above ground. If using with a post that is over 4 feet or in sand/saturated soil additional brace supports will be needed for proper stabilizing. You can lock down your post by tightening the included screws or by drilling your own screws through the predrilled holes on bottom of holder and into the wood. Not intended for construction-related applications.
