One of the most awarded and popular Irish single pot still whiskeys the 12 Years Redbreast is considered the quintessence of this traditional type and style of Irish whiskey. It matures inside ex-Sherry and ex-Bourbon barrels. It is characterized by a bright golden yellow color. Its aroma is complex with hints of honeysuckle black currant peaches. The creamy and soft mouth is sprinkled with light smoky notes and layers of honey that turn towards a finish that revolves on tones of dried fruit cinnamon and ginger. Excellent for making cocktails such as The Westie or Tammany Hall it is indicated for smooth consumption diluted with a few drops of water.
