The SkyWatcher Star Adventurer Tripod is an excellent base support for astronomical telescopes especially if you’re using an equatorial or tracking mount. Made of aluminum with 2-section legs it can extend from 25.0to 44.75with a base footprint of 23.0when the legs are retracted to 36.0extended. A 3/8″-16 screw on the top will accommodate most tripod heads and mounts. The Star Adventurer Tripod has a spreading brace that includes a removable accessory tray that can hold filters or additional eyepieces. The tripod weighs 4 lbs.
