Manual hand-truck-style platform lifts have two large rear wheels and are tilted back and rolled to move loads from one place to another. The nose of their platform sits on the ground when the trucks are upright which decreases the distance items need to be lifted when loading them onto the platform. Manual hand-truck-style platform lifts are used for lifting and stacking operations and have a foot pedal or hand crank that activates their lifting mechanism. They are suitable for intermittent use and applications where relatively light loads will be moved and lifted short distances.
