Primary construction is a solid wood panel core covered with 2 transverse layers of high-grade wood veneer that is more costly than solid edge-glued panels but provides improved strength and stability with a smooth finish. No finish on back panel. Finished with a non-toxic low-VOC paint made with solvents from 100% renewable sources.
