This radio uses FRS/GMRS channels and has a range of up to one mile in urban or outdoor settings six miles in open spaces and up to 25 miles in mountain-to-valley communications. Keypad and call tones indicate when a transmission is being made. The T380 features NOAA weather channels and alerts allowing you to keep in touch no matter the situation. Each of the included lithium-ion batteries provides up to 18 hours of power. When the power level drops a flashing alert lets you know reserves are low so you can recharge. The pack includes two USB charging docks and a single power supply with a Y-cable. A keypad lock prevents personalized settings from being inadvertently changed by requiring a passcode to make alterations; the time-out feature automatically turns the lock on after a period of inactivity. Two belt clips two lanyards and two carabiners are included.
