The T460 is a Talkabout license-free two-way radio from Motorola. A 22 channel capacity with 121 privacy codes the T460 also has 11 weather channels with an alert feature to notify the user of any upcoming environmental changes. Designed with safety in mind the T460 can be used in either small business premises or when partaking in leisure activities with family and friends. An emergency alert button is present on the side of your T460 when pressed this will send an alarm to other radios within the fleet to notify them that you may be in trouble. In order to avoid accidental operation of the emergency button or any of the keys and knobs that the T460 has a keypad lock function will lock all presses or twists until it has been deactivated meaning that when you get back round to using your radio nothing will have changed from the last use. Should you forget to activate your keypad lock and accidentally transit then this has the potential to lock one of the channels for use until you realize you’re transmitting. In order to avoid this a time-out-timer can be programmed into the radio to automatically cut off after a set time period ensuring that both people can’t accidentally transmit for too long whilst also not being able to ramble an endless message.
