The Asus TUF B360M-Plus Gaming mATX motherboard features a PCIe x16 slot that is connected to the chipset with a full 16 lanes. The board has two PCIe x1 slots for plug-in and expansion cards. The two M.2 slots connected via four PCIe 3.0 lanes support the NV-Me protocol and in combination with a corresponding M.2 SSD enable a data transfer rate of just under 4 GB/s. This is about eight times faster than an SSD connected via SATA 6G. Additional drives such as SSDs HDDs and optical drives can be connected via six SATA 3.0 ports. A maximum of 64 GB RAM with a clock rate of up to 2.666 MHz can be accommodated in four DDR4 DIMM slots. The Asus TUF B360M-Plus Gaming provides two USB 3.1 ports on the I/O panel. USB 3.1 ports are twice as fast as traditional USB 3.0 ports with maximum speeds of 10 Gbps. Additional peripheral devices can be connected via one USB 3.0 slot and two USB 2.0 slots. The USB 3.0 port is type C and therefore particularly thin and can be plugged in on both sides. One DVI and one HDMI port each for image reproduction via the processor’s integrated graphics unit are also located on the I/O panel. For the output of the OnBoard sound Realtek ALC887 the mainboard has three 3.5 mm jack outputs. Internal connectors include COM port S/PDIF out power LED and speaker headers three fan connectors two USB 2.0 headers and one USB 3.0 header. The black and yellow Asus TUF B360M-Plus Gaming is illuminated by RGB-LEDs and thus skillfully set in scene. It also has a 4-pin RGB LED header for controlling other RGB LED products via Asus Aura Sync.
