In addition the snug medium density memory foam keeps away noise while offering superior noise isolation. Apart from wood the 99 Classics also use cast zinc and manganese spring steel. The headband ensures even pressure for long listening sessions. The headpad and earpads are made from PU leather. Everything is then put together using nuts and bolts. This makes the headphone fully serviceable. The entire headphone is made from only premium materials no glue or plastic. Each Meze 99 Classics takes almost 45 days to be made. The wood used is harvested from mature trees that have reached the end of their life cycle. This ensures that there is no harm done to the environment while giving you that rich natural sound. To further enhance the colours the wood goes through extensive air drying and shaping by hand and CNC machines a process that takes almost 8 hours. It then goes through sanding lacquering finishing careful inspection and is finally assembled.
